Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Jumla has prepared a list of candidates for the upcoming House of Representatives election, including the names of five leaders led by Naresh Bhandari. The list was finalized after the party center issued a circular seeking candidate recommendations.
According to NCP Jumla, the recommended candidates include Naresh Bhandari, Dal Bahadur GC, Namraj Nyaupane, Ammaraj Shahi, and Hari Rawal. Naresh Bhandari, known as an intellectual leader from Karnali, has previously served as the provincial Minister for Law.
In the 2079 BS election, Bhandari did not receive a ticket from the then CPN (Maoist Centre), despite having already launched his election campaign. At the time, he stated that he was denied the ticket due to factional politics within the party.
After Bhandari was not nominated and Goma Gautam was made the candidate instead, Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Gyanendra Shahi went on to win the election from Jumla.
