Nepal are set to take on Bangladesh today in the ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup. The match will be played at the ICC Academy in Dubai and is scheduled to begin at 10:45 am Nepali time.
In the ongoing U-19 Asia Cup, Nepal suffered a defeat against Sri Lanka in their opening match. Bangladesh, on the other hand, began their campaign with a victory over Afghanistan.
Nepal are scheduled to play their next match against Afghanistan on December 17.
The ACC U-19 Asia Cup is being played in the one-day format. ICC full-member nations Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka qualified directly, while Nepal and the UAE secured their spots through the Premier Cup. Nepal have been placed in Group B alongside Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has sent a 15-member U-19 squad to the UAE under the captaincy of Ashok Dhami. The Nepali team for the Asia Cup includes Ashok Dhami (captain), Niraj Yadav (vice-captain), Nishchal Chhetri, Kibrin Shrestha, Dayanand Mandal, Dilsad Ali, Nitesh Patel, Chandan Ram, Bhans Chhetri, Abhishek Tiwari, Sahil Patel, Ashish Lahar, Bipin Sharma, Roshan Bik, and Yuvraj Khatri.
