Nepal will take on Bhutan in the opening match of the SAFF U-20 Championship, which begins on Monday in the Maldives.
Both teams will be seeking a winning start as they play the first match of Group ‘A’.
The match will take place at the National Football Stadium in the capital, Malé, at 4:30 PM Nepal time.
Alongside Nepal and Bhutan, five other member nations are participating in the tournament. Group ‘A’ includes Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, and Sri Lanka, while Group ‘B’ features India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
The tournament follows a league-cum-knockout format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals.
