The second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) moves forward today with two thrilling encounters at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
In the first match, starting at 11:45 AM, Kushal Malla–led Chitwan Rhinos will take on Sompal Kami’s Karnali Yaks. Both teams aim to begin their campaign with a victory.
The second match, scheduled for 4 PM, will feature a showdown between Biratnagar Kings and Pokhara Avengers. The Kings will be captained by young star Sandeep Lamichhane, while Kushal Bhurtel leads the Avengers. This match is also expected to be highly competitive.
In Monday’s opening game, defending champions Janakpur Bolts were stunned by Kathmandu Gorkhas with a 5-wicket defeat, putting added pressure on the Bolts in upcoming matches.
According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), all NPL matches will be played at the TU ground. Matches are scheduled for both afternoon and evening to enhance spectator convenience. CAN has made 9,450 tickets available for every match.
