Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Monday). According to the rates determined by the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 144.76, while the selling rate stands at NPR 145.36.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at NPR 171.06 and the selling rate at NPR 171.77. The UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 197.07 and a selling rate of NPR 197.89, while the Swiss franc stands at NPR 186.61 for buying and NPR 187.38 for selling.
The Australian dollar has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 101.57 and a selling rate of NPR 101.99. The Canadian dollar is set at NPR 105.82 for buying and NPR 106.26 for selling, while the Singapore dollar has been fixed at NPR 113.88 for buying and NPR 114.35 for selling.
For the Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 units has been set at NPR 9.21 and the selling rate at NPR 9.25. The Chinese yuan is being traded at NPR 20.86 for buying and NPR 20.95 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 38.60 and a selling rate of NPR 38.76, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 39.71 for buying and NPR 39.88 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been fixed at NPR 4.60 for buying and NPR 4.61 for selling. The UAE dirham is set at NPR 39.41 for buying and NPR 39.58 for selling, the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 36.67 for buying and NPR 36.82 for selling, and the South Korean won (100 units) at NPR 9.89 for buying and NPR 9.93 for selling. The Swedish krona has been fixed at NPR 16.04 for buying and NPR 16.11 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at NPR 22.90 for buying and NPR 22.99 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.53 and the selling rate at NPR 18.60. The Kuwaiti dinar has been set at NPR 473.69 for buying and NPR 475.65 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 383.98 for buying and NPR 385.57 for selling, and the Omani riyal at NPR 376.02 for buying and NPR 377.58 for selling. Likewise, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at NPR 160, while the selling rate is NPR 160.15.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It has also clarified that the exchange rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates are available on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
