Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Sunday). According to the determined rates, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 144.02 and the selling rate at NPR 144.62.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro is NPR 168.79 and the selling rate NPR 169.49, while the UK pound sterling is being bought at NPR 193.51 and sold at NPR 194.32. The Swiss franc has a buying rate of NPR 181.53 and a selling rate of NPR 182.29.
The Australian dollar is being bought at NPR 96.38 and sold at NPR 96.78, the Canadian dollar at NPR 104.95 (buying) and NPR 105.39 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at NPR 111.93 (buying) and NPR 112.40 (selling).
For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at NPR 9.18 and the selling rate at NPR 9.22. The Chinese yuan is being bought at NPR 20.59 and sold at NPR 20.68. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 38.40 and a selling rate of NPR 38.56, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 39.40 (buying) and NPR 39.57 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai baht is being bought at NPR 4.58 and sold at NPR 4.60, the UAE dirham at NPR 39.21 (buying) and NPR 39.38 (selling), and the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 35.53 (buying) and NPR 35.67 (selling). The buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been fixed at NPR 9.96 and the selling rate at NPR 10.00. Similarly, the Swedish krona is being bought at NPR 15.60 and sold at NPR 15.67, while the Danish krone stands at NPR 22.60 (buying) and NPR 22.69 (selling).
Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.48 and the selling rate at NPR 18.56. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at NPR 468.51 and sold at NPR 470.46, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 382.02 (buying) and NPR 383.61 (selling), and the Omani riyal at NPR 374.08 (buying) and NPR 375.64 (selling). The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at NPR 160.00 and the selling rate at NPR 160.15.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It has also noted that the rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the updated exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
