Kathmandu, Oct 8 — Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for Wednesday.
According to NRB, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 141.74, while the selling rate is NPR 142.34.
Similarly, the Euro is traded at NPR 165.25 (buying) and NPR 165.95 (selling). The British Pound Sterling stands at NPR 190.00 (buying) and NPR 190.81 (selling), while the Swiss Franc is valued at NPR 177.55 (buying) and NPR 178.30 (selling).
The Australian Dollar is exchanged at NPR 93.38 (buying) and NPR 93.77 (selling); the Canadian Dollar at NPR 101.56 (buying) and NPR 101.99 (selling); and the Singapore Dollar at NPR 109.59 (buying) and NPR 110.05 (selling).
For the Japanese Yen, 10 units are equivalent to NPR 9.39 (buying) and NPR 9.43 (selling). The Chinese Yuan is at NPR 19.91 (buying) and NPR 19.99 (selling). The Saudi Arabian Riyal stands at NPR 37.79 (buying) and NPR 37.95 (selling), while the Qatari Riyal is at NPR 38.89 (buying) and NPR 39.05 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai Baht is fixed at NPR 4.36 (buying) and NPR 4.37 (selling); the UAE Dirham at NPR 38.59 (buying) and NPR 38.75 (selling); the Malaysian Ringgit at NPR 33.63 (buying) and NPR 33.77 (selling); the South Korean Won (100 units) at NPR 10.03 (buying) and NPR 10.07 (selling); the Swedish Kroner at NPR 15.10 (buying) and NPR 15.16 (selling); and the Danish Kroner at NPR 22.13 (buying) and NPR 22.23 (selling).
The Hong Kong Dollar is valued at NPR 18.21 (buying) and NPR 18.29 (selling); the Kuwaiti Dinar at NPR 462.70 (buying) and NPR 464.65 (selling); the Bahraini Dinar at NPR 375.99 (buying) and NPR 377.58 (selling); and the Omani Riyal at NPR 368.14 (buying) and NPR 369.70 (selling).
Similarly, 100 Indian Rupees are valued at NPR 160.00 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling).
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates are indicative and may be revised at any time as needed. The exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest official rates can be found on the NRB’s official website (www.nrb.org.np).
