Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Saturday. According to today’s rates, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 142.54 and the selling rate at NPR 143.14.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro is NPR 166.94 and the selling rate NPR 167.65. One UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 190.63 and a selling rate of NPR 191.44, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of NPR 179.17 and a selling rate of NPR 179.93.
The Australian dollar has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 94.16 and a selling rate of NPR 94.56, while the Canadian dollar stands at NPR 103.30 for buying and NPR 103.74 for selling. The Singapore dollar has been set at NPR 110.28 for buying and NPR 110.74 for selling.
For the Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 yen is NPR 9.06 and the selling rate NPR 9.10. The Chinese yuan is set at NPR 20.24 for buying and NPR 20.33 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 38.00 and a selling rate of NPR 38.16, while the Qatari riyal is fixed at NPR 39.12 for buying and NPR 39.28 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been set at a buying rate of NPR 4.53 and a selling rate of NPR 4.55. The UAE dirham stands at NPR 38.81 for buying and NPR 38.97 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at NPR 34.96 for buying and NPR 35.11 for selling. The South Korean won (100 units) has a buying rate of NPR 9.64 and a selling rate of NPR 9.68. Similarly, the Swedish krona is set at NPR 15.30 for buying and NPR 15.37 for selling, and the Danish krone at NPR 22.34 for buying and NPR 22.44 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.32 and the selling rate at NPR 18.40. The Kuwaiti dinar has been set at NPR 464.04 for buying and NPR 466.00 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 378.06 for buying and NPR 379.65 for selling, and the Omani riyal at NPR 370.23 for buying and NPR 371.79 for selling. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at NPR 160.00 and the selling rate at NPR 160.15.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also clarified that exchange rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates will be available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s website.
