The Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the rates published by the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 144.75, while the selling rate stands at NPR 145.35.
On Monday, the US dollar remained stable, with the buying rate at NPR 144.72 and the selling rate at NPR 145.32.
The buying rate for one European euro has been fixed at NPR 171.74 and the selling rate at NPR 172.45. On Monday, the euro was traded at a buying rate of NPR 171.76 and a selling rate of NPR 172.47, while on Sunday it stood at NPR 171.61 (buying) and NPR 172.32 (selling).
Similarly, the Australian dollar has been set at a buying rate of NPR 102.50 and a selling rate of NPR 102.92. On Monday, its buying and selling rates were NPR 102.39 and NPR 102.81 respectively, while on Sunday they were NPR 102.06 and NPR 102.48.
The UK pound sterling has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 197.55 and a selling rate of NPR 198.37, while the Swiss franc stands at NPR 188.02 (buying) and NPR 188.80 (selling).
The Canadian dollar has been set at NPR 106.24 (buying) and NPR 106.68 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at NPR 114.70 (buying) and NPR 115.17 (selling).
Likewise, the Japanese yen (per 10 units) has a buying rate of NPR 9.43 and a selling rate of NPR 9.47. The Chinese yuan has been fixed at NPR 20.95 (buying) and NPR 21.04 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at NPR 38.60 (buying) and NPR 38.76 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is set at NPR 39.60 (buying) and NPR 39.77 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been fixed at NPR 4.65 (buying) and NPR 4.67 (selling). The UAE dirham stands at NPR 39.41 (buying) and NPR 39.57 (selling), the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 37.12 (buying) and NPR 37.27 (selling), the South Korean won (per 100 units) at NPR 10.03 (buying) and NPR 10.07 (selling), the Swedish krona at NPR 16.18 (buying) and NPR 16.25 (selling), and the Danish krone at NPR 22.99 (buying) and NPR 23.08 (selling).
The Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at NPR 18.52 (buying) and NPR 18.60 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar stands at NPR 474.36 (buying) and NPR 476.32 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at NPR 383.96 (buying) and NPR 385.55 (selling), and the Omani riyal at NPR 376.00 (buying) and NPR 377.56 (selling).
Meanwhile, the Indian currency has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling per 100 Indian rupees.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. The exchange rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the latest rates will be available on the central bank’s official website.
