Nepal Rastra Bank has determined the foreign exchange rates for today.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 149.64, while the selling rate is NPR 150.24.
Similarly, the euro is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 173.12 and a selling rate of NPR 173.81. The UK pound sterling stands at NPR 200.38 (buying) and NPR 201.19 (selling), while the Swiss franc is fixed at NPR 190.01 (buying) and NPR 190.77 (selling).
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is valued at NPR 105.89 (buying) and NPR 106.31 (selling), the Canadian dollar at NPR 109.04 and NPR 109.48, and the Singapore dollar at NPR 117.01 and NPR 117.48 respectively.
The Japanese yen (per 10 units) is set at NPR 9.43 (buying) and NPR 9.47 (selling), while the Chinese yuan is at NPR 21.73 and NPR 21.82. The Saudi riyal is priced at NPR 39.85 (buying) and NPR 40.01 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at NPR 40.94 and NPR 41.11.
Other currencies include the Thai baht at NPR 4.58 (buying) and NPR 4.60 (selling), UAE dirham at NPR 40.74 and NPR 40.91, Malaysian ringgit at NPR 37.98 and NPR 38.14, and South Korean won (per 100 units) at NPR 9.99 and NPR 10.03.
Likewise, the Swedish krona stands at NPR 16.07 (buying) and NPR 16.14 (selling), and the Danish krone at NPR 23.17 and NPR 23.26.
The Hong Kong dollar is set at NPR 19.10 (buying) and NPR 19.17 (selling), Kuwaiti dinar at NPR 488.06 and NPR 490.02, Bahraini dinar at NPR 396.34 and NPR 397.93, and Omani riyal at NPR 388.68 and NPR 390.23.
The exchange rate for Indian currency (per 100 INR) has been fixed at NPR 160.00 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling).
The central bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time as needed, and that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates. Updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
