Nepal has entered the final of the first-ever Blind Women’s T20 World Cup, marking a historic achievement.
Nepal will face India in the title match on Sunday at 10 AM at the Sara Cricket Ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The two teams have already met once earlier in the tournament.
This is the first edition of the Blind Women’s T20 World Cup, and Nepal has successfully secured a place in the final on its debut. Nepal defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the semifinal held in Colombo on Saturday.
Batting first, Pakistan set a target of 171 runs, which Nepal chased down in 17 overs, losing only three wickets.
In the other semifinal, India defeated Australia to reach the final. The tournament is jointly organized by India and Sri Lanka, featuring six teams: Nepal, India, Pakistan, Australia, Sri Lanka, and the USA.
From the group stage, India topped the table, Nepal finished second, Pakistan third, and Australia fourth—sending all four teams into the semifinals.
Nepal now aims to lift the trophy in this historic first edition of the world championship.
