The Nepal Teachers’ Federation has staged a sit-in at the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) office in Parisdanda. The protest is part of the federation’s ongoing movement demanding amendments to various provisions of the School Education Bill.
As part of the first phase of their agitation, the federation has been submitting memorandums to party offices while holding sit-ins.
Earlier, the federation had conducted similar sit-ins at the offices of the Nepali Congress and Nepali Communist Party (UML). Today’s protest at the Maoist party office is scheduled to continue from 11 AM to 1 PM, according to the federation.
