Nepal is set to take on Sri Lanka today in the SAFF U-20 Men’s Championship.
The match will be played at the National Stadium in Malé, with kickoff scheduled for 3:45 PM (Nepali time).
Nepal began their campaign on a winning note, defeating Bhutan 2–1 in their opening match. Similarly, Sri Lanka also secured a victory, beating hosts Maldives 3–2 in their first game.
In another match scheduled for today, Maldives will face Bhutan, with the game set to start at 8:30 PM (Nepali time).
The Nepali squad for the tournament includes captain Dharmendra Kunwar, Alik Shrestha, Anubhav Puri, Bhakta Bahadur Pariyar, Bijay Oraon, Bigyan Khadka, Binayak Tharu, Ganesh Pulami Magar, Jon Bista, Nishan Raj Lawat, Pawan Pakhrin, Pemba Nurbu Bhote, Prashant Moktan, Rohan Tamang, Sabin Kumar Lungeli Magar, Sabin Rai, Siddhanta Khadka, Subas Bam, Sujan Basnet, and Sujan Dangol.
A total of seven nations are participating in the championship. In Group A, Nepal is joined by hosts Maldives, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka, while Group B consists of defending champions India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
