The Nepal Women’s National Cricket Team has departed for Dehradun, India, to play a series of friendly matches organized by the Uttarakhand Cricket Association. The matches will be held from Kartik 27 to Mangsir 3.
The team was officially farewelled by the District Cricket Association, Kanchanpur, during a special ceremony today. According to Birendra Bahadur Chand, Central Member of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Nepal will play a total of six matches against three Indian state teams — Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Uttarakhand.
The fixture is as follows:
- Kartik 27 – Nepal vs Rajasthan
- Kartik 28 – Nepal vs Uttarakhand
- Kartik 29 – Nepal vs West Bengal
- Mangsir 1 – Nepal vs Rajasthan
- Mangsir 2 – Nepal vs Uttarakhand
- Mangsir 3 – Nepal vs West Bengal
Chand stated that the series aims to prepare the national team for the upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers, adding that the competition will help improve players’ skills and experience.
The 15-member squad includes:
Indu Barma (Captain), Kavita Kunwar, Sana Parvin, Rubina Chhetri, Alisha Yadav, Ishwori Bista, Roma Thapa, Ashmina Karmacharya, Sawanam Rai, Bindu Rawal, Pooja Mahato, Laxmi Saud, Manisha Upadhyaya, Simana KC, and Mamta Chaudhary.
