The Nepal women’s national cricket team has returned home after participating in the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars Cricket Tournament held in Thailand.
The team arrived back in Nepal on Wednesday. Nepal was eliminated from the tournament after suffering three consecutive defeats. The team lost its first match against Pakistan ‘A’, the second against UAE, and the third against India ‘A’.
Speaking to journalists upon arrival, team captain Puja Mahato said the tournament provided valuable experience for the squad. “This tournament was a learning opportunity for us — to understand how we can move forward and improve. We tried to give our best from our side,” she said.
She added that competing against strong teams like Pakistan and India was itself a big opportunity for Nepal. According to her, the team received positive feedback, noting that Nepal showed signs of improvement during the matches.
