The Nepali Congress has postponed its Central Working Committee meeting. The meeting, which was originally scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. today at the party’s central office in Sanepa, will now take place at 1 p.m., according to Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel.
Office bearers and members of the Central Working Committee, along with the presidents of all seven provincial committees, have been instructed to attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, the second special general convention of the Nepali Congress has been ongoing since Sunday at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu under the leadership of General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma. The meeting is understood to have been called to discuss and make decisions on the special convention as well as other contemporary political issues.
However, leaders aligned with General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma, who are organizing the special general convention, have decided not to attend the Central Working Committee meeting.
