The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress is being held today. According to Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.
The meeting, originally planned for Sunday, was postponed to mourn the death of former central committee member Mohammad Aftab Alam.
The ongoing meeting, which began on Asoj 28, has seen differences among party members over the timing of the next General Convention.
While members from the establishment faction believe the convention should be held after the upcoming elections, those from the opposition faction have been insisting that the party should hold the convention before going to the polls.
The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress has been continuing since Asoj 28.
