The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress is set to resume today.
The meeting has been scheduled for 1 PM at the party’s central office in Sanepa. A meeting of the party’s Executive Committee held on Monday decided to resume the Central Working Committee meeting starting today.
During the session, both the establishment faction and the rival faction are expected to present their views and proposals regarding the schedule for the party’s upcoming General Convention.
General Secretary Gagan Thapa is expected to propose holding the General Convention by the end of Poush (mid-January), while the establishment faction is preparing to propose Baisakh (mid-April) as the target month.
After both sides present their views on the proposed timelines and their relevance, the meeting will move forward with further discussions.
