The Nepali Congress staged a demonstration in Gongabu, Kathmandu, calling for the protection of the constitution and the current system. Party leaders and cadres, including senior leader Jagadishwar Nar Singh KC, took part in the rally, which marched through various parts of the Gongabu area.
Addressing a corner assembly after the rally, leader KC urged all pro-democracy forces to come out onto the streets. He emphasized that the federal democratic republican system was achieved through the sacrifices of thousands of citizens and stressed the need for unity to safeguard it.
KC also accused the security agencies of negligence, saying that due to their weakness, vital structures such as Singha Durbar, the House of Representatives, and Shital Niwas were set ablaze and destroyed.
