The Nepali Congress Kalikot has recommended 12 candidates for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. According to party vice-chair Min Bahadur Bogati, the decision was finalized on Saturday by the district meeting that began on Mangsir 24.
The meeting recommended five candidates for direct election to the House of Representatives, five for the proportional representation system, and two for the National Assembly.
For the direct category, former party president Harsha Bahadur Bam, General Convention member Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, DLCA central member Daman Raj Bam, Keshar Jung Bam, and student leader Jivan Subedi have been recommended.
Under the proportional representation category, former party presidents Kali Bahadur Sahakari and Mukti Prasad Nyaupane, Women’s Association central members Bhawana Shahi and Chhaya Sunar, and Bharat B.K. have been recommended.
For the National Assembly election, Bishnu Bahadur Shahi and Dhan Bahadur Bam have been unanimously recommended, vice-chair Bogati said.
