Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala has congratulated newly elected party president Gagan Thapa through a special general convention, emphasizing that the party has undergone a transformation rather than a split.
In a video message shared on her Facebook account, she urged everyone to stand in favor of change.
She said, “Currently, the youth, Nepali society, and the people of Nepal desire change. We should embrace this change with joy. The Nepali Congress has also undergone a transformation; the party has not split. A new president has taken office, and I want to extend my congratulations.”
Along with her congratulations, Koirala advised Thapa to lead the party without forgetting the thoughts of B.P. Koirala and the organization established by Girija Prasad Koirala.
She also urged party leaders to accept the change happily, avoid overinterpreting the law, and assured that no one should be worried or afraid.
