The Nepali Congress Reform Campaign (Under-40) has appointed coordinators in all 77 districts. The campaign aims to attract young members under the age of 40 within the party and strengthen youth participation.
Campaign coordinator Shiva Rimal emphasized the need to ensure 40% representation of under-40 youth at every level within the party. “Our main demand and objective is to guarantee 40% representation of youths under 40 in elections for central, provincial, and local bodies from the party,” he said.
The campaign will also work to maintain good governance and raise concerns against corruption. Additionally, it aims to introduce a system of primary elections for candidate selection in every level of election from the party.
Rimal added that the appointment of coordinators across all districts is intended to promote vigilance, protect and strengthen democracy, and encourage new debates and advocacy within the party.
