Nepali Congress is set to organize an election rally in Pokhara targeting the House of Representatives by-election scheduled for Falgun 21. The Kaski district committee of the party will host the gathering at Amarsingh Ground in Pokhara on Friday.
Party President Gagan Kumar Thapa and Vice President Bishwo Prakash Sharma are scheduled to address the rally. Direct candidates from all 18 constituencies of Gandaki Province will also participate in the event.
Kaski President Kishor Dutta Baral stated that although the rally is being organized by the Kaski committee, the district represents the capital of Gandaki Province, and candidates from across the province will gather in Pokhara for the occasion.
According to organizing committee coordinator Deepak Gurung (Maila), preparations for the rally are in the final stage. He said around 100 vehicles from different villages are expected to bring participants to the event, and stage construction at Amarsingh Ground is currently underway. The party expects more than 15,000 people to attend the mass gathering.
Baral said the “renewed Congress” prioritizes procedural and institutional systems, good governance, transparency, and accountability. He added that the party aims to present a result-oriented action plan and a clear vision to the public, expressing strong commitment to strengthening the campaign for national transformation.
