The Nepali Congress has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming election.
The manifesto was made public on Wednesday during a program held in Janakpur. The party stated that the document incorporates 10 major visions.
In the manifesto, the Nepali Congress has pledged to end political interference in state institutions such as the judiciary, constitutional bodies, police, and universities.
The document released from Janakpur emphasizes that every citizen — from ordinary people to those holding the highest offices of power — will be equal in the eyes of the law.
“The discriminatory situation where the powerless face punishment while the powerful enjoy impunity will be ended. The doors of public service will remain equally open to all. Political interference in state institutions such as the courts, constitutional bodies, police, and universities will be brought to an end,” the manifesto states.
It also mentions creating an environment where capable, honest, and competent citizens loyal to the Constitution will be appointed through clean and transparent selection processes.
The manifesto further declares: “By maximizing the use of technology in every state service, the concept of Digital Nepal will be realized, which will eliminate corruption and bureaucratic delays at their roots. Citizens will be able to access government services conveniently from their homes. A democratic environment will be ensured where people can fearlessly question the government and demand accountability.”
