
Nepali film industry’s legendary actor Rajesh Hamal has launched his autobiographical book “Yugdekhi Yugsamma” (From Era to Era). The book was officially unveiled by Hamal himself during a special event held in Kathmandu on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, Hamal shared that the book came to publication after nearly three years of preparation. “It took us almost three years to complete this book. It has now come before the readers in an interesting and engaging form,” he said.
According to Hamal, the book not only includes his experiences from the film industry but also covers diverse subjects such as society, politics, religion, psychology, human life, childhood, and family background.
He explained, “Together with the interviewer, we have included everything in this book. It’s not only about cinema but also explores various aspects connected to society, politics, religion, psychology, and human life, along with my childhood and family environment.”
Hamal also mentioned that reading the completed book felt like reliving his entire life once again. “While reading it, I felt as if I was looking back at my whole life — it was like living it all over again,” he expressed.
Published by FinePrint, the book encapsulates Hamal’s 35-year-long film career, previously undisclosed aspects of his personal and family life, and his reflections on society and other topics. The book was written in collaboration with author and journalist Yagya Shah.
