Nepal women’s national football team captain Sabitra Bhandari has said that the Nepali team is fully prepared to face India.
Nepal will play against India today in the final match of the Tri-Nation Friendly Football Tournament. Calling the match a “battle of pride in South Asian football,” captain Sabitra expressed Nepal’s readiness for the challenge.
“This is a battle of pride in South Asian football. We are ready for it. We will correct the mistakes we made in the previous match. We were unable to maintain balance in the last game, but we will improve and play to win,” Sabitra told reporters after Sunday’s training session.
Both Nepal and India will be looking for a positive finish in the tournament. Earlier, both teams suffered defeats against Iran—India lost 2–0 and Nepal lost 3–0.
Iran remained undefeated in the tournament and has already lifted the title.
