
On the final trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index posted a slight decline. The market, which remained volatile throughout Thursday, ended down by 9.22 points, closing at 2,757.97.
Total market turnover also stayed relatively limited at around Rs 5 billion. During the day, 16.8 million shares of 319 companies were traded, amounting to Rs 5.02 billion in transactions.
Vikas Hydro topped the gainers’ list, hitting the positive circuit with a 9.99% increase. On the other hand, Janutthan Community Microfinance recorded the sharpest fall, dropping by 4.56%.
In terms of transaction volume, Himalayan Reinsurance led the market with more than Rs 249.5 million worth of shares traded, followed by Nepal Reinsurance with Rs 209.5 million in turnover.
Out of five trading days this week, NEPSE declined on three and rose on two, bringing the total weekly loss to 30.39 points.
