After gaining 83 points the previous day, the stock market in Nepal saw a slight decline on Tuesday. The NEPSE Index fell by 2.61 points to close at 2,757.40.
Out of the traded companies, share prices of 175 companies declined, while 82 recorded gains and 12 remained unchanged. The Sensitive Index also dropped by 0.78 points to settle at 471.13.
Among the 13 sub-indices, 9 declined while 4 posted gains. Along with the drop in the benchmark index, overall trading volume also decreased.
A total of 345 companies saw transactions, with 17.4 million shares traded through 81,582 transactions. The total turnover reached approximately Rs. 6.73 billion.
Despite the overall market decline, six companies hit the positive circuit limit, indicating strong buying interest in select stocks.
