The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index recorded a strong rise along with a notable improvement in trading volume on Monday.
The benchmark NEPSE index increased by 57.55 points, closing at 2,772.17, marking a 2.12 percent gain for the day.
A total of 331 companies traded 30,915,183 shares through 133,529 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of NPR 13.78 billion. All sectoral sub-indices ended the session in positive territory.
During the day’s trading, share prices of eight companies hit the positive circuit. Based on both transaction value and volume, Aankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited led the market, with shares worth NPR 435.93 million and 1.668 million shares traded, according to NEPSE.
