The share market closed marginally higher today, with the NEPSE index rising by 4.90 points to settle at 2,639. During the trading session, share prices of 118 companies increased, while 134 companies recorded a decline.
A total of 13,624,824 shares of 349 companies were traded throughout the day, generating a total turnover of Rs 6.99 billion. Radhi Bidyut Company recorded the highest transaction value, with shares worth Rs 546.5 million traded. It was followed by SY Panel with Rs 348.1 million and Butwal Power Company with Rs 281.3 million in transactions.
Investors of Three Star Hydro earned the highest gains of the day, with the company’s share price surging by 10 percent. Dordi Khola Hydropower followed with a gain of 9.38 percent, while Super Madi Hydropower rose by 9 percent.
On the losing side, Rasuwagadhi Hydropower recorded the highest decline, with its share price dropping by 6 percent.
Out of the total sub-indices, six closed in the red. The commercial banking sub-index declined by 0.14 percent, the finance sub-index by 0.29 percent, and the hotel and tourism sub-index by 0.48 percent.
