The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a slight decline today, falling by 5.17 points to close at 2,566.16 points.
According to NEPSE, a total of 32,1 listed companies traded 11,501,284 shares in 50,487 transactions, amounting to a total turnover of Rs. 5.45 billion.
In today’s trading, the Hotel and Tourism sector rose by 2.15%, Hydropower by 0.01%, Microfinance by 0.13%, and the Trading sector increased by 2%. However, all other sector indices declined. The Banking sector fell by 0.34%, Development Bank by 0.91%, Finance by 0.77%, Investment by 0.17%, Life Insurance by 0.64%, Manufacturing and Processing by 0.28%, Mutual Funds by 0.08%, Non-life Insurance by 0.19%, and the Others group declined by 1.20%.
During today’s trading, Khanikhola Hydropower Company Limited hit the positive circuit. The stock price of Jyoti Bikas Bank Bond–2087 recorded the highest decline, dropping by 5.66%.
In terms of transaction volume, Union Hydropower Limited topped the chart with a turnover of Rs. 236.52 million. Likewise, Prabhu Bank Limited had the highest number of traded shares, with 614,059 shares exchanged today.
