The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) announced that the stock market will remain closed today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday).
The closure comes amid the ongoing Gen Z protests and requests from trading members and investors to halt operations. According to the Securities Listing and Trading Regulations, 2075, all securities trading will be suspended on these two days.
The market was also closed on Tuesday due to the protests. If conditions improve, trading is expected to resume on Sunday, the next business day.
