Considering the security sensitivity of the upcoming House of Representatives election, the District Administration Office in Kaski District has imposed restrictions on nighttime business operations starting from Monday.
According to a public notice issued by the office, hotels, restaurants, dohori venues, clubs, dance bars, liquor shops, and other nighttime businesses will be allowed to operate only until 9:00 pm until further notice.
The notice urges all concerned parties to cooperate in maintaining public peace, security, and social harmony during the election period. Authorities have stated that monitoring will be conducted to ensure compliance with the directive, and anyone found violating the order will face action in accordance with prevailing laws.
The office has also appealed to the public not to celebrate the upcoming Holi festival in a manner that creates large public gatherings. Due to election security concerns and the code of conduct, organizing fairs, musical events, or any programs that draw crowds in public places has been prohibited.
The notice further clarifies that no permissions have been granted for Holi-related public events. People have been requested to celebrate the festival in a civilized and culturally respectful manner within their homes and family premises.
