Chairman of NMB Asia Bank, Tulsiram Agrawal, has resigned from his position. He submitted his resignation letter at the meeting of the bank’s Board of Directors held on Sunday.
The resignation was accepted in the same meeting, according to the bank’s Chief Information Officer, Jayendra Rawal. “He has resigned citing personal reasons, stating that he is unable to continue in the role of chairman. The resignation has already been approved,” Rawal said.
Although the chairman’s resignation has been accepted, no decision regarding the appointment of a new chairman was made on Sunday. Rawal said that the matter will be finalized within the next few days.
The bank, which once gained prominence for adopting aggressive banking strategies, has recently been making strategic moves. As part of this process, the bank had changed its Chief Executive Officer some time ago and has now also changed the leadership of its Board of Directors.
