There will be no advance ticket booking for Dashain travel this year. The decision was made today (Tuesday) in a meeting between the Department of Transport Management, transport entrepreneurs, and traffic police.
In previous years, the government opened advance booking for passengers returning home for the Dashain festival. However, Director General of the Department, Rajiv Pokharel, said this year advance booking will not be implemented, as schools have already closed and many people have already started traveling home.
He assured that transportation will remain smooth during the festival period.
