A person injured in a microbus accident at Eklephant, Aabukhaireni Rural Municipality–2 in Tanahun along the Prithvi Highway died during treatment today.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Budhamaya Tamang, a resident of Bharatpur Metropolitan City–16, Chitwan. She had sustained serious head injuries in the accident and died while undergoing treatment at Aabukhaireni Hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shrawan Kumar Bik.
The microbus (Ba Pra 03–001 Ja 0937) was traveling from Chitwan to Lamjung with 14 passengers on board. The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which first hit a roadside wall and then crashed into the rear of a Nepal Electricity Authority vehicle (Ba 1 Cha 1287) parked at the roadside.

All the injured are currently receiving treatment at Aabukhaireni Hospital, police said.
