A person was killed in a jeep accident at Danikhet in Marma Rural Municipality–3 of Darchula district. The accident occurred this morning when a jeep (registration number Su Pra 01 001 Ja 1662) traveling from Latinath to Sarsi met with an accident at Danikhet.
According to Police Inspector Bikram Shahi of the District Police Office, jeep owner 34-year-old Karbir Singh Thagunna died in the incident.
Police said it is not yet known who was driving the jeep and how the accident took place. A police team from the Area Police Office, Latinath, has been deployed to the accident site to search for the driver. (RSS)
