A young man lost his life in a road accident at Dudhfarm Chowk, Biratnagar Metropolitan City-4, on Wednesday night.
According to Morang Police, the incident occurred at around 8:30 PM when a motorcycle collided from behind with a mini-truck that had been stopped for inspection. The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Pushpa Kumar Chaudhary of Barju Rural Municipality-6, Sunsari.
The motorcycle (Province 1-02-0046 Pa 6401), traveling at high speed towards Nemuwa, rammed into the mini-truck (Province 1-02-001 Ka 5189), which police had stopped during a routine check.
Chaudhary, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to Nobel Hospital, Biratnagar, where doctors pronounced him dead. Following the accident, police took into custody the truck and its driver, 31-year-old Santosh Kumar Acharya of Budhiganga Rural Municipality-1, Morang.
