The main opposition parties, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), have announced that they will boycott the Prime Minister’s address in Parliament. The two parties, demanding the resignation of the Home Minister over the misuse of visit visas, have stated that their ongoing parliamentary obstruction will continue today as well.
RSP Perspective:
RSP spokesperson Manish Jha clarified that reports suggesting they would allow the Prime Minister to speak are unfounded. He said, “Our obstruction continues and will remain in place today. We will not sit through the Prime Minister’s address as our demands have not been addressed.”
RPP Perspective:
Similarly, RPP vice-chair Dhruv Bahadur Pradhan confirmed that the decision to boycott remains unchanged. He stated, “There has been no new decision regarding the Prime Minister’s address. The boycott will continue.”
