
Police have arrested a man with more than Rs 300 million in cash and a large quantity of gold ornaments from Town Planning, Gongabu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–26.
According to Kathmandu District Police Range spokesperson and Superintendent of Police (SP) Apil Raj Bohora, the arrested individual has been identified as 76-year-old Binod Shrestha, a permanent resident of Gorkha district and currently residing in Gongabu.
SP Bohora said, “More than Rs 300 million in cash and a significant amount of gold jewelry have been recovered. The exact amount of cash is being counted using a machine.”
Based on information about hidden illegal money, a joint team from the Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, and the Kathmandu District Police Range conducted the raid today.
