Due to the partial influence of westerly winds along with local winds, weather conditions across Nepal remain partly to generally cloudy.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, hilly and mountainous regions including Koshi Province are experiencing general cloud cover, while the rest of the country has partial cloudiness.
Currently, light rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning are occurring at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province.
On Wednesday afternoon, hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Province will see generally cloudy conditions, while other hilly and mountainous regions will have partial cloud cover. The Terai region is expected to remain mostly clear. However, there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki, as well as a few places in other provinces.
Tonight, hilly and mountainous regions including Sudurpashchim Province will remain generally cloudy, while the Terai region will experience partly to mostly clear weather.
The department has urged the public to remain cautious of possible risks from rainfall, lightning, and snowfall.
