Nepal is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
At present, the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province are generally cloudy, while the hilly and mountainous areas of the remaining provinces are partly cloudy. Some places in the Terai region are witnessing mist and haze.
A few locations in the hilly and Himalayan areas of Gandaki Province are experiencing light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
On Monday morning, fog is likely in some parts of the Terai region. The Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki are expected to remain generally cloudy. The hilly regions of these provinces, along with other Himalayan areas, will see partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country is expected to have mainly fair weather.
There is also a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi Province, as well as in the Himalayan areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
