Due to the partial influence of westerly winds, there has been a change in weather conditions across the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, fog and mist have affected some areas of the Tarai, while cloud cover has begun to appear in the hilly regions. The hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing partly cloudy conditions, whereas the weather in other regions remains generally clear.
Some changes in weather are expected across the country on Monday. Sudurpaschim Province, along with other hilly and mountainous regions, is likely to see generally cloudy conditions. In most parts of the Tarai, fog and mist are expected to persist during the morning hours, which may have a mild impact on daily life and transportation.
The division has also indicated the possibility of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. Although the weather in other areas is expected to remain mostly clear, meteorologists have advised people to take necessary precautions against the cold.
Meanwhile, after rising continuously for two days, the minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley dropped on Monday. According to the division, the minimum temperature recorded in Kathmandu at 5:45 am on Monday was 8.6 degrees Celsius, down from 9.4 degrees Celsius recorded on Sunday.
