The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds. Due to this system, fog is present in the Tarai region and valleys at present, while the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces, along with other high-altitude regions of the country, are generally cloudy.
This afternoon, some places in the Tarai are expected to experience mist and fog until midday. The high hilly and mountainous regions of the country will remain generally cloudy. The remaining hilly areas will see partly cloudy conditions, while the Tarai region will be mostly clear.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
Tonight, fog is likely at a few places in the Tarai. The high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces will remain generally cloudy, while the weather in the rest of the country will be mostly clear.
The division has also indicated a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
