The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of western winds across the country. As a result, fog has developed in some areas of the Tarai, while the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Karnali provinces are experiencing partly cloudy conditions. The rest of the country remains mostly clear.
According to the Division, fog and mist are expected to persist in most parts of the Tarai until midday today. The high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province will see partial cloud cover, while weather conditions in the remaining regions will remain largely clear.
The Division also stated that tonight, fog is likely to continue in some parts of the Tarai, whereas the hilly and mountainous regions of the country will experience mostly clear weather.
Due to fog and mist, morning hours may see disruptions to daily life, health services, tourism, as well as air and road transportation. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions.
