The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has started preparations for this year’s Maha Shivaratri festival. As part of the preparations, the Trust has issued a public notice inviting religious, cultural, social, educational, and industrial organizations interested in operating service camps during the festival.
According to PADT Information Officer Anita Bhatt, the Trust has called for applications from organizations willing to provide free services such as food, accommodation, drinking water, health services, and volunteer support for sadhus, devotees, and pilgrims arriving from Nepal and abroad on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.
Organizations wishing to operate service camps must submit an application along with copies of registration and renewal certificates issued by the concerned District Administration Office or in accordance with prevailing Nepal government laws.
The Trust has requested applicant organizations to clearly mention details such as the nature of services, number of beneficiaries, and the duration of service camp operations. Applications must be submitted by Magh 20. Bhatt stated that organizations failing to submit complete details within the deadline will not be provided space to operate service camps nor be allowed to participate in service activities.
The Trust has also appealed to all stakeholders for active participation to ensure that Maha Shivaratri 2082 is celebrated in a civilized, grand, and divine manner at the Pashupati area, a center rich in religious, cultural, and historical heritage.
According to the calendar approved by the Nepal Panchang Nirnayak Development Committee, Maha Shivaratri this year falls on Falgun Krishna Chaturdashi, which is on Sunday, Falgun 3.
