A performance agreement will be signed today between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers regarding the main tasks and expected achievements for the current fiscal year.
At 1 PM this afternoon at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ Office in Singha Durbar, the agreement will be exchanged along with an annual progress review of each ministry. Last year, a similar performance agreement was signed on Bhadra 27, and this year’s agreement, taking place nearly a month earlier, aims to expedite and enhance the efficiency of planned work and outputs, according to Prime Minister Oli’s private secretary, Vinod Bahadur Kunwar.
The practice of signing performance agreements, initiated during Prime Minister Oli’s previous term, ensures that infrastructure projects and service delivery improvements, launched to achieve the national vision of “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali,” are completed within the designated timeframe. After signing the agreement with the Prime Minister, ministers are required to enter into performance agreements with their respective secretaries.
