Two fixtures are scheduled today in the Prime Minister (PM) Cup one-day cricket tournament.
In Janakpur, Bagmati Province face Sudurpashchim Province. Bagmati sit eighth on the table with 4 points from five matches, while Sudurpashchim are second with 8 points from five games.
In Parsa, Nepal Police Club take on Lumbini Province. Police are third with 7 points from five matches, and Lumbini are fifth with 5 points.
Both matches will be played in the one-day format starting at 9:00 AM, according to Cricket Association of Nepal.
The tournament features a total of 10 teams: the seven provincial sides and three departmental teams — Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, and APF Club — along with Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province.
The competition follows a single round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final. So far, only departmental teams have won the PM Cup. Nepal Police Club hold the record with four titles, while Tribhuvan Army Club and APF Club have won two each. Police are also the defending champions.
The winner of the one-day PM Cup will receive a cash prize of NPR 1 million, while the runner-up will get NPR 500,000, CAN stated.
