
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus Summit today. The summit is being held in Tianjin, China, at the Meijian venue, where heads of state and government from participating countries will deliver their remarks.
Prime Minister Oli is in China on a five-day official visit that began on Bhadra 14 (August 30, 2025), at the friendly invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the visit, he is taking part in the SCO Plus Summit alongside other world leaders.
In addition to his summit address, Prime Minister Oli is continuing a series of bilateral meetings with various heads of state and government. Today, he is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu of the Republic of Maldives, and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
