Prime Minister Sushila Karki has stated that she had no intention or motive to disrespect any religion or community.
Her clarification comes after various reactions and criticisms emerged regarding a remark she made while launching the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign through social media (Facebook).
Through her online statement, PM Karki said, “It was never my intention or purpose to belittle any religion or community.”
She further emphasized that she respects all religions equally and urged all citizens to support the ongoing efforts to maintain peace, harmony, and tolerance during the current challenging situation.
